I saw two rainbows under the sun
The light was straight up
And the water was flying below
And I from the side of the cliff did it view
And it arched
And it grew
And it bowed down to the surface of the shimmering mirror
And I smiled
Because these were finally those rainbows
Those rainbows
Not one, but two
That I could see at 12 in the afternoon

  1. Rachel, tha is so pretty. Seriously, you should have them published. They are very very good. Your drawings are also good. In the book you can have poetry and drawings. It wouldn't hurt. Oh, and yeah. Parents make the rules. I understand that they are there to prtect us, but it's 2010 not 1970. I think if the info is false, then it's fine. Maybe one day, my wines will finally allow me and my twin to get one. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT the wining type. Every week or so, I ask, "May I get a blog?" My mom is 100% Italian, so I think you know where I am headed.

  2. Hey, I just invited my friends Jade and Courtney to view and comment on this blog. Your poetry is beautiful and I think they will appreciate it. Your poetry is really good; more people should see it.

  3. Rachel,

Your poetry is amazing! It is just wonderful to read. Like Sunshine said, you really should try to get them published. I've just read all of your other poems on this blog, and I can't for more!

    Keep writing,

  4. Rachel,
I love your poetry! I write some poetry myself too but not as good as you! I really like the feeling your poems give off..(if that makes sense!:))
